8 to 8:30 am—Player check-in

8:45 am—Pairings posted and player’s meeting

9:00 am—Begin round 1

Sections:

1stU — pre-K through 1st grade 3rdU –

2nd and 3rd Grades 6thU —

4th through 6th Grades 12thU –

7th through 12th Grades

Format:

Swiss-US Chess Federation (USCF) Rated 5 rounds – 30 Minutes each side for 1stU and 3rdU 4 rounds – 40 Minutes each side for 6thU and 12thU

Awards: Individual trophies will be awarded to:

1stU – Top 5, top kindergartener and top pre-K

3rdU – Top 10, top 2nd grader

6thU – Top 12, top 4th grader and 5th grader

12thU – Top 5, top 8thU

Team Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 teams in 3rdU, 6thU, and 12thU sections and top 2 teams in 1stU (based on top 4 scores and minimum of two participants).

Each member of award-winning teams will receive a medal commemorating the team accomplishment.

 

Entry Fee: $17 if received by November 20th, $20 if received after this date. Registration by email only after November 27th. Email registration will close @ 10:00 p.m. on December 6th. ON-SITE REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE $30. ON-SITE REGISTRATION WILL BE FROM 7:30-8:30 A.M. This is a USCF rated tournament. USCF memberships are required. To register, provide information on the tournament registration form. Please provide USCF information and add USCF membership fee to tournament registration fee. If NOT a current USCF member, add your child’s home address, DOB & gender.
